Littlewood Garden Holiday Accommodation

Littlewood Garden is well positioned in a quiet and tranquil park-like garden. Guests can relax at our unique large rock pool with swim-in Jacuzzi, stream and waterfall. A natural stream flows through the property and several bridges and pathways take you through the indigenous and tropical garden. Garden Benches invite for a rest and give you excellent bird-watching opportunities. The natural surrounding supports an abundant bird-life (over 100 species have been identified in the area) and the Knysna Lourie (Knysna Turaco) is a common visitor.

From the top section of Littlewood Garden you can enjoy the view over the Knysna Lagoon to the Outeniqua Mountains and watch beautiful sunsets.

In our landscaped garden with 4.500 qm you will find over 50 different indigenous trees, a wide variety of wild flowers, proteas, pincusions, fynbosh, ferns, succulents, cacti as well as tropical plants. The natural surrounding with a wide variation of plants as well as a natural stream running through the property supports an abundant bird-life. We landscaped Littlewood Garden carefully with a wide range of trees, shrubs and flowers that attracts birds. Wahlberg's Epauletten Fruitbats

A colony of Wahlberg's Epauletted Fruit Bats (Epomophorus wahlbergi) come every year in spring to mate in Littlewood Garden and raise their young. They choose a plam tree as their home and sleep during the day. After sunset they get ready to take off and search for food. The Wahlberg's epauletted fruit bats is frugivorous, its diet mainly consisting of figs, guava and various fruits of Diospyros.
