Wildlife Viewing & Safari
There are many opportunities to get to know the South African wildlife closer and take a guided safari. Experience the Knysna elephants close up or visit one of the many wildlife sanctuarys and animal encounters.
From July till December is Whale Season along the coast line if South Africa and you will find lots of oppotunities to view whales. There are viewpoint were you can watch them from the shore or you book a whale watching boat trip or cruise.
Ocean Odyssey Whale and Dolphin Charters will give you a unique whale watching experience. They have a official whale watching permit and are the only vessel that allows them to approach whales up to 50 meter.

The Knysna Elephant Park is situated off the N2 between Knysna and Plettenberg Bay, approx. 15 km from Littlewood Garden. The Park offers the exciting opportunity to get close to the Knysna Elephants and learn a lot of these gentle giants that live in a controlled, free-range environment.

Sanctuary for Primates
Monkeyland – Distance to Littlewood Garden approx. 45 km (60 minutes by car).
Monkeyland is a primate sanctuary and the worlds first free roaming multi-specie primate sancturay. On guided dafaris you can see a variety of primates, ranging from Gibbons of Asia to the Lemurs of Madagascar and the experienced ranger will tell you a lot about these animals.

Wildcat and Wildlife Awareness Centre
Distance from Littlewood Garden, approx. 45 km (60 minutes by car) at the Crags behind Plettenberg Bay.
Visitors are taken on a 90 minute guided tour that offers a unique Wildcat Experience and you will see Cheetahs, a Leopard, African Wild Cat, Servals, Caracals and watch Meerkats. Watch the Blue Cranes dance and get to know the Marabou Storks. For the more adventurous Tenikwa offers a walk with cheetahs through the indigenous forest and fynbos.

Guided Safari Tours
Distance from Littlewood Garden approx. 35 km (45 minutes by car). Plettenberg Game Reserve spread out over more than 2.200h in the hills above the Garden Route coastline in front of the Tsitsikamma Mountains.
Day Visitors can get a unique Safari Experience in this malaria-free environment with a 4x4 guided tour or on a horse back safari.
The reserve is home to more than 35 species of game, including lion, rhino, giraffe, hippo, crocodiles, buffalo, a large variety of antelope and even wild dogs.
The experienced guides will tell you a lot about the lokal Flora and Fauna.
