Segefield's Slow Festival is about returning to family values, real experiences and a natural way of life After Sedgefield was declared Africa's first Cittaslow town a number of residents decided to come up with an event, so the Sedgefield Slow Festival was born in 2010. Every year the festival is getting bigger and more charities and local businesses are involved. There are plenty of activities for children and the whole family like:
Fun Dog Walk, Mountain Bike Challenge, Geo-treasure hunt, Boules Tournament, Paragliding Challenge, Music Trivia Evening, Kite Flying, Food and Wine evening, Easter Street Parade, Sand Sculpting Challenge and so much more.
