The annual wooden boat show will take place in Thesen Harbour Town.

Knysna has a rich history of boat building. The surrounding forest provides the wood and the first ship to be built was launched 1831. It was a twin mast of 73 foot, named Knysna and was built by George Rex to trade between Knysna and Cape Town.
